Mark Ashwill, lead singer and creative force behind NYC's legendary The Spitters, passed away on April 11th, 2000. We really don't know what we can say to express our loss. Mark was one of a kind. He had the unique ability on stage to be both incredibly warm and menacing. He had an awesome sense of humor as well as a deep artistic sensibility which he expressed in his dance projects and his early years as a founding member of another legendary NYC band, Missing Foundation. All we can say is that we are deeply saddened and we miss him profoundly.
